About

The Toledo Rose Society is dedicated to encouraging the growing and enjoying of roses through educational meetings and the annual rose show.  Our consulting rosarians (listed on the resource page) are on call to answer questions and will arrange a garden visit, if necessary, to help gardeners succeed.  We can help with which roses will succeed in the Toledo area's climate and soil, guide in cultural needs, and most any other questions.

We also encourage rose growers to join the American Rose Society.  Membership gives numerous discounts on purchasing roses, free entry to many gardens and parks across the USA, and the excellent magazine, The American Rose Magazine.

The rose was designated our nation's National Flower in 1986 due to its spectacular beauty and fragrance.
